Reverse steer buggy

Very popular on stag and hen weekends. You sit in a single seater buggy and go around a relatively small course. Staying on the course is another matter because it takes a while to get the hang of it, though thankfully you are on 4 wheels and not 2! As you steer left, the buggy snaps to the left and if you are not ready for it, it takes you by surprise every time. The trick is to keep moving the steering wheel as this sends continual signals to the brain, not allowing for you to get caught out. Keep this bit of info to ourself if you want to look good in front of the others.

Age limit: 12 and above.

How does a session work?
You need a minimum of 3 people to do this event. You will go out in pairs with a safety instructor in the back who will only yell if he has to. Before you go out it is important to spend a few minutes with your partner addressing how you are going to approach the navigation. Saying things like, "That's it, go straight on", to somebody who can't see is not very helpful as they don't know where straight on is!

How long does a session last?
You really need a group of between 3 and 8 to get the most out of this activity, so you are looking at anything from 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. It works well if half of a large group does this activity while the other half does hovercraft racing.
