Blindfold driving

This is the weirdest experience we offer. It is difficult to put the sensation into words - you don't even know whether you are moving or not, it is such an attack of spacial awareness and sensory deprivation. You get to drive round our course with your friend shouting out instruction and then you get to shout at them. Make sure you and your partner both know your left from your right, and your right from your left!

Age limit: 17 and above. We have a Land Rover V8i Automatic, so even people without a license can try some of the course.

How does a session work?
You need a minimum of 3 people to do this event. You will go out in pairs with a safety instructor in the back who will only yell if he has to. Before you go out it is important to spend a few minutes with your partner addressing how you are going to approach the navigation. Saying things like, "That's it, go straight on", to somebody who can't see is not very helpful as they don't know where straight on is!

How long does a session last?
It really depends on the size of your group. If you are a large group, doing another activity, you can expect to be on the blindfold driving course for around an hour and a half. If you are a group of 3, you can expect about 45 minutes on the track.
