Frequently Asked Questions

When is Hoverdays open?
We are open all year round, from 10am til dark. We are bookings only as we’re off the beaten track somewhat.

Can spectators attend?
Absolutely. Free of charge too. We have a special viewing area and refreshments.

Can children have a go?
Yes. One of our instructors will happily take the children around the course in a hovercraft.

How many can attend at once?
Up to 40 people. Once number get higher than 8, we split you up and each group does a different activity for an hour and a half or so.

How do I redeem a voucher?
Just ring us and book a Sunday of your choice.

How fast are the hovercrafts?
Our hovercraft are capable of 40mph+ and you will get near that speed if you have what it takes to get round the course at such a speed with no brakes! The hovercrafts have 35hp, 1000cc engines that are no more than 3 years old. The power is impressive because the hovercraft are relatively light (2 people can pick one up)

What if we are late?
We will do our best but if anyone is booked in after you, we have to stop your session at the arranged time. The later you are, the less likely you are to receive your full session.

Does Hoverdays have insurance?
Yes, full public liability covering everyone, anywhere in the UK.

Do we ever get injuries?
Never. Touch wood! In six years, the worst accident we had was a chap falling out of the hovercraft when he had finished his go. As he was climbing out, he tripped and landed on his face. Our staff are 1st aid trained just in case anything did happen.

Do we go over water?
Yes. Not a lot, we admit, but everyone flies over our pool as it is in the middle of the track and is unavoidable.

What facilities are available?
We have shelters, tea and coffee, a toilet and plenty of space for picnics etc. If you require a lunch for your stag or hen party, we can do you a buffet or get fish and chips delivered.
We also have wheelchair access and will happily take wheelchair users around the course in our 2 – seater hovercraft.

How do we get our video footage on Hoverdays’ website?
If you’d like us to film your group, edit it and put it on youtube – just ask us. If you have your own footage, again – just ask.
