About the hovercraft


We use single seater, 670cc, formula 3 hovercraft. They have steering and a throttle, so are not complex to learn. Once you have mastered the art of weight distribution, you will have your hovercraft around our track in no time.

 

How does a session

work?

Groups of up to seven are instructed on the handling and safety and then each person will get goes in 2 different craft before racing in the fastest.

Most groups are split and half or 1/3 will do hovercrafting for an hour and then swap with something else.

 

How long does a session

last?

This depends on which package you book but generally 12 people should allow about 2 hours for the hovercraft racing. 6 people would be 1 hour.

Where are we?

The hovercraft racing takes place on Rednal airfield, near Oswestry in Shropshire. Please click here for our map page.

North Wales, Wrexham, Chester, Liverpool, Powys, West midlands, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Telford, Shrewsbury, Nantwich and Staffordshire are all within an hours drive and London takes about 3 hours.
